After 20 odd years as a nurse I can pretty much talk to anyone and handle anything. I've got an eye for detail and I’m super organised. It's the little things.

There's a lot that goes into making sure each ceremony is a unique celebration of you and your partner. From initial meeting to the big day and everything in between I'm with you every step of the way. Below is an overview of my process.

THE LINER NOTES (A LITTLE MORE DETAIL)
I meet all my couples pre booking to ensure we’re the right fit for each other. It’s not terribly time efficient but it ensures we’re both happy in the long run.
I’m a full time celebrant but I don’t take on every wedding just for the dollar bucks. If someone else will fit you guys better I’ll let you know.
I’ll do a lot of un-awks recon to get your story and see what makes you guys tick. This helps me put together a cracking ceremony that’s 100% YOU. I’ll be with you the entire way to explain, clarify, suggest and refine.
Upon booking I’ll send you a resource file, full of bright ideas - cool readings, vows, tunes etc. A veritable goldmine.
I’ll bring my awesome PA system so the ceremony is crystal clear. I even have a Madonna mike. Strike a pose etc.
I’ll be at your ceremony an hour prior in some fitting gear for the occasion. I’ll ensure all legal paperwork is mickey mouse and lodge it next business day after your gig.
My pricing is very competitive, but you get what you pay for.

I’m a big believer in the right of all loving couples to be married, whatever their sexuality.
Wanna just get hitched without any fuss? My Legals Only package includes a single meeting then 128 legal words on the day and all your paperwork prepped and lodged. Available weekdays between 10-2 at a local cafe in Brunswick.
I see funerals as an important responsibility to celebrate, honour, remember and see off a loved one in a personal and respectful manner.
I loved palliative nursing for the satisfaction of knowing I made a difference to a family’s grief experience. I will bring this sensitivity and compassion to funeral ceremonies as well.

Do you write your ceremonies from scratch?
Yes. Every. Single. Time. A) You’re all different B) I’d be bored out of my skull rolling out the same gaff at every single wedding. I can spend 6-8 hours writing a ceremony to incorporate everything it needs to make it personally yours..
What ID do I need for the legal paperwork?
You can supply a current passport or your original birth cert and your licence/ photo ID. Passport is the easiest. You’ll also need to provide your Divorce Order if relevant.
Does it matter that I’m a citizen of another country?
Not at all. You can marry in Australia regardless of this.
Yes. I’ll send you a Notice of Intent to Marry and a list of who can witness and sign it with you. This is often consulate staff or a notary public. You can then scan the Notice to me, along with scans of your passports and you can consider it lodged. I’ll need to witness your passports in person before the wedding/ when you arrive in Australia however and you’ll need to bring the original Notice document for me. Some couples choose to send this document to me via registered post so it’s not forgotten. No Notice: no wedding- so this is a good plan.
Can I organise a marriage with you from overseas?
Yes. I’ll need to chat with your partner via Skype to be happy that they are happy/ understanding/ consenting to the marriage and I can accept a Notice signed by just you until your partner arrives for the wedding. At that time they’ll sign with me as the second party and provide their passport as ID.
My partner is overseas. Can I lodge the Notice individually?
Yes, on occasion I can- at my discretion. Please note I don’t do legals only marriages at peak times on peak days in peak season for obvious reasons. Being that I could be doing a full wedding instead. Legals only enquiries for these times will be quoted full ceremony fee.
Our friend is going to perform our ceremony? Can you do just the legal component for us?
Yes. It’s up on my Easy Weddings profile. However, I’m not sure how helpful it is. It totally depends on whether the vibe you’re looking for matches that in the video if you’re looking to see if I’m a good fit for your wedding. I adapt my tone and vibe to suit each individual wedding. If you’re having a big rowdy country wedding and the video shows a small quiet ceremony it may not give a good idea of my scope. Rather, read my reviews and stalk Insta. Way more helpful in my opinion.
Do you have any video of you in action?
I have a network of excellent celebrants of a similar vibe to me I could tap into in this instance. We support each other and work to ensure you still get a great ceremony.
What if you’re sick on the day?
Of course! all part of the service. I also provide my couples with a comprehensive resource including a section on writing vows. There are several modern examples in there also to inspire you.
I can’t write for shit. Can you help me with my vows?
Yes. If you’re not having live tunes, I usually put music on as soon as I arrive and have it on for 20-30 minutes post ceremony. I will ask you to put together some playlists in Spotify and save them to your phone, which I’ll hook up to my speaker on the day. Once I leave the ceremony however, my P.A comes with me so you’ll need another option.
Can we use your P.A for ceremony music?
My fee reflects the comprehensiveness of my service, as well as my vibe, popularity and experience. I can’t comment on why your friend’s celebrant was only $XXX. I am however, very comfortable with my fee. My reviews demonstrate my value. You will always find someone cheaper but I cannot guarantee the experience you’ll have.

Yes. I offer payment in 3-4 instalments over time.
Can I pay in instalments?
Absolutely not. As a standard I do a final run through for my couples at my local bar, often on the Monday before your wedding (before things start getting crazy). This is like a rehearsal with just the three of us.
I run through logistics of the day so you feel totally ready. I also provide a document for your bridal party outlining entry, exit, positioning and other stuff. I go through this with them again on the day when you arrive to the wedding. I will also brief the person controlling music, your photographer and videographer on the day.
If you want a rehearsal at your venue then it will need to occur at a convenient time for me and a fee may apply
